This collection is entitled Augury which means to prognosticate or predict the future. I looked particularly at the way nature will find a way to reclaim itself even met with the obstacles of concrete and pollution. Visually, I’m drawn to the whimsical ivy covered cottage of fairytales, and I am interested in exploring how it acts as the polar opposite of the concrete jungle I call home.

My collection is unisex and focuses on hand knitwear and suiting. I design clothes, not the bodies that choose to wear them.

Vest + Knit Sample - Prior to losing access to the studios, I developed the leaf-like hand knit pattern (seen in the finished sweater vest) and programed a similar pattern for the Shima SSR knitting machine (seen in the green swatch)

Senior_5_Suiting - This collection started with focusing in on suiting. I wanted the tailoring to be a grounding force in the collection. All the beading on the floral suit is done by hand.

Harness/Suspender Exploration - I looked at suspenders as a masculine-type lingerie and explored how this could change the wear of a simple white tank top and black school boy short. Hardwear became an integral part of the collection.

Ivy Leaf Sweater made of individually crocheted ivy leaves and pieced together. White sweater hand knitted form the same type of yarn with a rib and cable pattern.

Cross Stitch Face Corset and Bralette - These are the pieces and process of this collection post-quarantine. I took the time to develop this face cross-stitch pattern and the bralette.
