Jocelyn Martinez is a Mexican-American Illustrator and Designer from Houston, Texas. She is a recent graduate from Pratt Institute and is currently a full time Freelance Illustrator in Brooklyn, New York. She loves to create illustrations based around things that make her happy and is inspired by. Jocelyn likes charming narrative illustrations that bring joy to the viewer.
When she is not creating, she is spending time with her dog, Pac, checking out new burger joints, reading or playing video games. Jocelyn wants to develop a career in book and graphic novel illustrations as well as concept art. She also plans on writing and Illustrating her own books in the future.

Artist Statement
As an artist, there is so many things that I take inspiration from, I create my work in so many ways and approaches, but in the end it's all still me. I enjoy book illustrations, character design, concept art, illustrative type, children's design, and it all inspires me so much. I enjoy utilizing all of my skills in creative and fulfilling ways and making my work fun and enjoyable by anyone. I can see myself in so many areas of the art world, and I see enjoyment in all of these worlds, especially if I can get my hands dirty.
