My work is a poetic, deep dive into my conflicts with the greater society, often expressing queer philosophies and soothed by a touch of surrealism. As a multimedia artist, my work ranges from film to paintings to wearable fashion, choosing the medium I believe best fits the narrative I’m trying to convey. The work I create is heavily influenced both aesthetically and in perspective of being a second-generation Brasilian immigrant living in a predominantly white, midwestern suburb. I pull references from my memories of childhood and existentialism and turn them into intimate self-portraits.
