Timna Churges Golan
Timna is an urban planner specializing in urban economics and community economic development based in Tel-Aviv, Israel. She graduated with distinction from the master's program in City and Regional Planning in February 2021.
Her thesis work explored the impact that Myrtle Avenue's gentrification has had on the local public housing residents of the Whitman and Ingersoll Houses in Brooklyn, NY. It provides recommendations for supporting the ability of the Myrtle Avenue Business Improvement District (BID), and other BIDs, to meet the needs of their local public housing community in face of neighborhood change.
