Industrial Design Capstone Studio | DESIGN FOR WELLBEING
Click HERE to see the work
This studio aims to support physical and mental wellbeing through products rooted in everyday existence. It explores how people live and what they are lacking in the contemporary world. The class focuses on learning how to observe and analyze human behavior in a natural environment. The Design for Wellbeing studio is not about meeting user’s needs, but rather about following daily habits. It investigates wants, preferences and routines. Studio’s key premise is working in full-size, which develops a sense of human scale and proportion as well as understanding of real materials, technologies and production processes. The expected outcome of the classes is a full-size functional prototype of the product or set of products, followed with a poster and process book.
