In this capstone studio, students will look at the ways we can keep our communities nourished and what it means to create social change through design. The studio will focus on building student capacity to design for community and social innovation, knowledge of sustainable design, and new paradigms of making and sharing. Through a practice-based approach, students will work individually to investigate a problem space of their choosing (e.g. disaster resiliency, racial justice, food security, climate emergency), bridging stories and conversation in preparing for unknowable futures.
