MA MA/MS History of Art and Design Thesis Presentation
The four papers represented here share in common that each investigates artists and movements normally left out of the Art Historical Canon. This is vital to the field as these types of recovery projects help realign the way we think about the history of art and design. Rather than just reasserting the centrality of the “big names” who receive a great deal of attention in the scholarship, these four thesis projects are working to challenge our assumptions and are asking us to reconsider the history of art and to make it more inclusive, interesting, and complete.

Congratulations to Anna Flinchbaugh (MA/MS), Evian Yiyun Pan (MA/MS), Léon Alexandre Ravastus (MA), Joey Vincennie (MA/MS)!
