Growing up on animation, I am drawn (pun intended) to storytelling and subtle narratives in an illustration. I am fascinated by the concept art and the visual development in games and films; I love browsing through art books that include the behind-the-scenes of a production. It is inspiring and helpful for me to see the process of artists going through numerous changes until landing on the final design of a character or illustration. I am still learning to create more compelling characters and their designs along with environments while still solidifying my own artistic style. I am also learning how to capture raw emotions in my work because I believe that bringing out the range of human emotions is paramount in storytelling and helps make my illustrations stronger by creating a personal connection with the viewer.
