Where Are We?

A collection of work made from vintage and deadstock fabric as well as artistically upcycled second-hand pieces to express the ideas of fate, memory, and human connection. Through the little impacts we make on each other's lives, my collection is an ode to DIY culture through randomized and gestural silhouettes connected through naive stitching to add my hand in each look.
Artist Statement
As a textile artist and fashion designer, I pay tribute to each fabric's quality and what the garment was beforehand as I reinvent its purpose to take on new life. In an attempt to slow down the fashion system and contribute less waste to the environment, I use existing resources as well as natural fibers and sustainable practices through dyeing and other textile manipulations to create looks that convey the energy of a collaged scrapbook that pieces the different parts of our lives together.
