Julia Liverton
I’m always looking for new and exciting design opportunities to enhance the user's daily life. My half Chinese-Malaysian and half British heritage provided me the opportunity to travel, giving me a broad view of the world which greatly influences my work. I also find inspiration in the small details of everyday life. Outside of design, I enjoy cooking, quality dad jokes, and running around the streets of NYC with my film camera. Hope you enjoy my work!

Project Overview
After conducting research with arthritis and diabetes specialists, I set out to design an insulin pen with a separate accessory that would address identified challenges. This pen is designed to be compatible with standard insulin pen supplies. The separate accessory functions as both an injection site tracker and suction aid to eliminate the need to pinch skin.
Separate Accessory
The separate accessory functions as both an injection site tracker and suction aid to eliminate the need to pinch skin. The center concavity in the accessory allows the user to align the pen so that the needle slips into the needle hole, injecting the user while supporting the pen. After injection, the user can twist the band on the accessory until the indicator lines up with the injection site (RA – right arm, LT – left thigh, etc.).
